The Machining of 3-Dimensional Cemented Carbide Roll Ring
Cemented carbide 3-dimensional roll ring with high binder content can be grinded or turned by CNC machines. Cutting Materials: cubic boron carbide (CBN), poly crystalline diamond(PCD)Rotating speed in turning: 16-30n/min; Feed rate: 0.10-0.20mm/n; Depth of turning: 0.2-1.5mm Cooling: cooling is required for turning with PCD, cooling fluid should be applied before turning operations and should not be
interrupted. Regrinding allowance: Radial regrinding allowance is 0.6-2.0mm depends on the roll ring stands, rolling load, cooling condition and tonnage to be rolled.
Installation and Application of 3-Dimensional Cemented Carbide Roll Rings
A small clearance fit or interference joint is recommended between the roll rings and roll shafts to avoid slipping between each other. For installation, the preheating temperature for roll rings shall not exceed 280℃, otherwise it will reduce the performances of roll rings. Good cooling effect can defer the abrasion of the roll ring and improve its lifetime, therefore reduce the frequency of roll ring alternation. The water pressure required is 0.2-0.4Mpa and the water flow rate is 20- 40m³/h.
